Heather’s most recent role was to manage a high profile natural resource protection program encompassing over 23,000 acres in more than 400 parks in Fairfax County, Virginia.  Her interest in payment for ecosystem services began with her education at Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment, where she earned her Master’s in Forestry with a focus on forest resource management.  She holds a Bachelor of Science from Lafayette College.  She is also a graduate of the Virginia Natural Resource Leadership Institute.  Heather enjoys seeking collaborative, balanced solutions for natural resource protection and has experience in the non-profit, local government, military and private sectors. Heather enjoys running, dining out in Old Town Fort Collins, trips to the mountains and hanging out with her husband and two little girls.
