SoGES Global Challenges Research Teams and Resident Fellows RFP

Tuesday, December 06, 2016
The School of Global Environmental Sustainability (SoGES) is announcing a request for proposals for 2017-18 Global Challenges Research Teams and Resident Fellows. Both programs seek proposals that address pressing global and regional environmental sustainability grand challenges, are highly innovative and enterprising in their approach, and are applicable to real-world sustainability issues.
Global Challenges Research Teams (GCRTs)
The School is seeking GCRT proposals for new, interdisciplinary partnerships of faculty to address sustainability grand challenges through creative research and synthesis activities. Successful proposals bring together researchers from across disciplines at CSU to cultivate and encourage new scientific relationships, overcome barriers to interdisciplinary research, establish commonalities and understanding of scientific language and methodology, and utilize a multifaceted and innovative approach to sustainability science. Resident Fellows
SoGES is also seeking applications for CSU faculty Resident Fellows from a broad range of disciplines related to sustainability, including but not limited to: biological and physical sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities, and engineering fields. The Fellowship targets faculty and instructors whose contributions to sustainability scholarship will be significantly enhanced by the Fellowship. Click HERE for more information and to apply.
These GCRT and Resident Fellow positions provide unique opportunities to accelerate progress in research designed to meet global environmental challenges, and to engage in the academic life of the School and its affiliates.
The process is open to all CSU faculty. The proposal deadline is January 27, 2017.
