Hello! I keep waiting for the final good news to share but realize that CCC readers might well appreciate the details…
• December 2016: The Great Outdoors Colorado Grant that Colorado Open Lands submitted to complete the conservation easement funding for the farmland property has been awarded and a preliminary appraisal has also been completed.
• February 2017: We are under contract for the purchase of our first property! It has been a long 2 years of effort but we’re finally to this major milestone. The details of the conservation easement will be finalized and reviewed, and the final pieces will be put in place for closing at the end of this month of March.
Other good news: We have hired our first part-time staff – the most capable Seth Jansen (one of our founders and original Board members). The rest of the team is hugely happy. Stay tuned for the celebrations!
