SUMMARY:Branching Out: CFCN Peer-Learning Series June 2023
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of Branching Out is to provide a space for meaningful, relevant discussion amongst Forest Collaboratives Network participants. Each monthly, virtual session will feature bite-sized stories of successes and failures from forest collaborative coordinators and partners, leaving you with the most relevant details and key takeaways, then offering ample time for small group networking, storytelling, and idea-workshopping. We invite you to come to the sessions that you think will provide the most benefit to you and your collaborative.\nIn our next session we’re joined by speakers Alison Lerch, Program Administrator, and Courtney Young, Program Facilitator, as they introduce COSWAP and share the latest updates coming to the program. Then we’ll move into a group discussion where you will have the opportunity to share about your experiences with COSWAP and recommend changes for the program moving forward.\nThe Colorado Strategic Wildfire Action Program (COSWAP) was created in 2021 to support fuels reduction efforts in the wildland-urban interface through workforce development grants and landscape resilience investments. In its first year, the program supported 34 Workforce Development projects and 10 Landscape Resilience Investment projects, for a total of over $16 million. The next round of funding will open to applications this fall.\nRegister here for our first peer-learning session ( https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJAodumuqDIrHN0UJeSkl6fOlFrHJrr0nr5J#/registration ) on June 22 1:30-3pm M.T. We can’t wait to see you there! \n
