SUMMARY:CFCN Branching Out Session
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nConnecting Collaboratives with USFS State, Private, & Tribal Forestry: Who they are, what they do, & opportunities for collaboratives\nWednesday, November 29th | 1:30 – 3:00pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCollaboratives fill the unique space of connecting partners across federal, state, tribal, and private jurisdictions. Yet, we don’t often hear much about the USFS State, Private, and Tribal Forestry branch.\nIn this session, we’ll meet Matt Tuten (Cooperative Forestry Program Manager) and Amie Anderton (Landscape Scale Restoration & IRA Landowner Assistance Program Program Manager), two of the faces behind this lesser-known arm of the USFS who are really excited to meet you.\nThey’ll share with us:\n\nWhat is USFS State, Private, & Tribal Forestry?\nWhy do they want to strengthen relationships with collaboratives on the ground?\nWhat’s the deal with this new funding opportunity, IRA Forest Landowner Support grants for “supporting underserved and small-acreage forest landowner participation in emerging private markets”? (Hint: Matt and Amie have some creative ideas that go beyond just Carbon markets, and they are excited to brainstorm more ideas with you!)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThen, they want to hear from you! They’re ready to hear your ideas about ‘emerging private markets’ and listen to your feedback on how they can better engage with and support collaboratives.\nTo learn more about the IRA Forest Landowner Support grants for “supporting underserved and small-acreage forest landowner participation in emerging private markets,” visit this webpage and/or read frequently asked questions here.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick here to register for November 29th Branching Out\n\nClick here to learn more about Branching Out ( https://collaborativeconservation.org/2023/06/14/branching-out/ )\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
