July 2025 Storyteller’s Circle Workshop
As conservation communicators, we face a daunting task: telling compelling stories to encourage actions that will “save the world.” But how often do we make space for developing our craft in order to do these stories justice?
Enter the Storyteller’s Circle. This (free!) virtual event alternates between topic-based discussions led by other communications professionals as well as pper support for your own storytelling projects. This event is hosted by the Intermountain West Joint Venture and Crowd Conservation to be a space where storytellers and communicators throughout the conservation realm can come together to hone their craft.
July’s edition: What’s YOUR 30 second pitch?
Funding is a perennial challenge for us all, so bring your organization’s fundraising pitch to our July session. On July 31, from 3-4 p.m. Mountain Time, we’ll work together in small groups to practice your pitch and refine it. If you don’t have one ready, that’s okay! Bring your organization’s mission statement, or brainstorm your ideas during the session as you provide feedback for others. We’ll also discuss how you can work with your team to promote your organization or your work in any opportunity.
